Ayane Nakamura

Ayane Nakamura joined Lucas Crew in the 2024/25 season, first performing in Hands at the International Dance Festival in Erfurt, Germany. She also contributed as a movement researcher and assistant for <River of Poet>, while continuing to perform as a dancer.

Originally from Japan, Ayane was awarded the Espoir Prize in the Contemporary Division at the 2021 NBA All Japan Ballet Competition. She danced with La Danse Compagnie Kaleidoscope and was a resident artist at Dance Base Yokohama for three years. She was also selected as one of 20 emerging performers in a national campaign by au/KDDI. Since 2023, she has been based in Germany, performing with DART Dance Company and currently appearing at Theater Plauen-Zwickau.
